I took the short bus this morning......

and it set the tone for my day.

As I got off the shuttle at school and walked to the bank listening to TLC's "No Scrubs" I fell off the curb, spilled coffee on my pants and held up traffic (because of course, I was jay walking).
Horns blaring, everyone stared me down.

At least I made it to the ATM in one piece.

Then after my first exam of the day (don't you just LOVE nursing school?). I was late returning, and missed hearing all the answers to exam A. So I'm still on edge because I have no clue how I did.

And then it was time for P&A sign-offs. Can I preface this by saying, I LOVE Diane Aschenbrenner. And I've had sign-offs before, for my EMT class. I always over prepare and freak myself out and then the whole process ends up being completely relaxed and low key. Yea, except this time. I didn't even put my face mask on for trach care. REALLY?!?

But I guess in the end it doesn't matter..... I passed. I still haven't received an email saying I got a C on an exam, and, well, I'm sitting in my best's apartment drinking wine, listening to Elliot Smith and, at least currently, not hating my life.

Maybe riding the short bus to school is a good thing, at least I get a seat.

new branch, new color alright alright!

I am a transplant!

New state, new city, new apartment, new school! So much newness it's pouring out of my ears.

Today was the first day of orientation at Johns Hopkins. Gah! I'm at Johns friggin Hopkins!!!
It was very cool. I got lots done. I totally feel on top of my sh*t and excited about it all.

Now if I can just motivate myself to start that math workbook......

My Brother, David

has an intern.

That's right ladies. He has power and a great name.... David

the line starts here

and when I get that feelin' i need

to get a paper plate....

and this works best when you're at a bar late on like a monday or if you work at a bar and you're really bored cause it's monday and you're working

.....and you empty a bag of cheetos (regular flavor) and doritos (nacho cheese) but they're the snack packs, so the serving size is just right.
then you ask the bartender/barback/host for some limes (or if you work there you get them yourself cause you're not a lazy bitch)
you squeeze the limes over the chips as though you are squeezing lemons on 7 dozen oysters (more on 7 dozen oysters later)

you drench these bad boys in lime (thankfully, they're chock-full of preservatives so nothing is getting soggy baby!)

then you get the bottle of tobasco
(i hope you know what you do with tobasco)

thats right baby..... tobasco-lime-cheeto-dortitos

the secret ingredient is the paper plate
(and the tequila shot you take right after)

beginning again

She left the brie and ate the monchego. She topped fig halves with pieces of the cheese and placed them on her tongue, letting the flavors merge as the food melted in her mouth. She chewed and swallowed savoring the sharpness and the sweet, then poured herself more chardonnay. She knew she was in love. She always ate rich foods and wine when she had fallen in love with life again.

She still had two walls to paint, the ceiling to put in and the bathroom to finish before she could officially move in. And the rain wouldn't stop. The meeting was tomorrow, she hadn't finished her prep, but she'd be fine, she always was. She was a great bullshitter.

'When the rain stops,' she thought, 'I'll stop being such a recluse.'

I love working at a bar

despite the ridiculous amount of times I've been asked for my phone number, I do enjoy working at a bar (it also allowa me to lie about the doorman being my boyfriend, an then i get to play it out with hugs and flirting. ha!).

but really, it's a great job. The first one I've had in awhile that actually makes me happy once I'm there.

and I met a pretty cool guy there too.

but that's another story.

Over

yea, that's right.
I'm over it and him and I've decided to not spend anymore time than it takes to write this blog entry to explain it or work it out.
Actions speak louder than words boys, remember that and maybe you'll keep the best girls you meet.
